Well guys if the weather pattern hold for the next month and a half we're going to have below normal temperatures around which doesn't make sense in an El Nino. real big cool down coming the next two weeks.

Historically this area of the lake is the last to thaw out. lakes around here are usually thawed by the first week in April.

ice fishing is a truly addictive sport for many including myself... I'm kind of hoping the ice holds on for at least another month.

I watch the ice very closely ... Before we hit the ice I usually have a pretty good estimate of how thick the ice actually is and come quite close once were out there. yesterday's ice was 12 inches of clear strong ice. trust me I'm the last one in line for a polar dip... lol

You'll be on that before you know it landed gills. I would be leery of drilling holes in that.

SLIP STINKER; JUST WAIT TILL IT WARMS UP BUDDY !!  YOU HAVE A GOOD LOOKING AREA TO FISH AT;;  JUST A FEW MORE DAYS; IT SHOULD WARM UP ENOUGH TO GET A BOAT OUT THERE !
