It was in the 40's with a stiff wind Sunday but after not fishing for 3 weeks I had to go. We were on our way in when we struck up a conversation with an old timer with his boat up in the weeds. He was raking them in one after another. He invited me to pull in alongside and fish some of the holes he had created. Caught two keepers in about 15 minutes. Lake Talquin is very strict about 10 inch Crappie minimum. Only caught a few small bluegills and one undersize bass. Had a great day!
Nice Crappie Jeff, I don't like it when the Florida guys are wearing stocking caps and flannel shirts...looks like I'll have to embrace Winter instead of dreading it!

Nice black crappie. Was that the only one you caught the reason I asked is that they are a schooling species of fish.
