Tough year for ice Jim .Thanks for the reply! With the ice melting there were still a few guys fishing today on the Monksville.I stayed off the ice however.

A few friends from Harrisburg said Walker and Faylor Lakes have the limit of safe ice, but that could change with the warmer weather coming. Didn't say any thing about the 'catching'.

I tryed it agen today, it was even better today. I guess what made it better today was because I got my first 10"er. of the year. I noticed there starting to make bed's now, there chaseing the bait's but not attacking yet. All the fish came right where the weed's are starting on the windy point's. Where there was no wind there were no fish. My best guess I cought between 35-40 gill's mostly 9 - 91/2" The one in the pix. was 10". I also got about 30-40 Pickerl (hammer handle's), a few Crappie, and 1 Perch, plus 3 small LMB.

Yesterday I put a few hour's on my favert lake, for the most part it was a good day. I only kept 6 for the pan all 9 1/2" the rest went back. The pix. dident turn out to good so I'm not posting them. I also got 4 Trout, about 5 Crappie all on the small side. Thr Perckerl were a real pain in the *** mostly hammer handle's.

I fished a local pond neer my house today. For the most part it was a fair day, most of the gill's were in the 7 to 8" bracket with a few 9"er's in the mix. I also got quite a few LMB mostly around 12 to 13". I noticed the Pumkenseed's were makeing nest up in the shallow's I mean real shallow. The Bluegill's were still out in the 5 to 6' of water. Some of the seed's had punch mark's on there side's so I guess doing there thing.

Yeah, good idea. I live in north central MD, but fish in PA a good bit. Codorus, Long Arm, Pinchot and the Susky and am always on the lookout for some good panfish water.
