What type of animal is a bluegill?
I fish in a friends pond here in Marion, Ala. It was stocked about 40 years ago with bass and bream from the state fish hatchery, has nice size bream that I catch with a fly rod.
What state are you from? This can help us get together for fishing trips!
Alabama

Thank you George for stopping by and stopping in. At BBG we have many fly rod fishermen me myself know nothing about it but am planning on giving it a try this spring. Got a fly rod and reel at Cabelas, I know it's not as fancy as yours you have a piece of history and I know you cherish it for obvious reasons. We also have many fly tiers some beginners and some more advanced. If you have any questions type it in on the FORUM the people here love to answer questions but on the other side sounds like you been tying for awhile don't be afraid to join in on the FORUM and participate. I think you'll fit in here very nice and hope you enjoy your stay. Wish you the best of luck George hope everything works out for you I know you'll be working hard at it.

Welcome aboard George to the bigbluegill.com. At this site we have lots and lots of information all you have to do is look, learn and enjoy. We have blogs that are interesting in themselves each one loaded with information all we have to do is look at them read them and learn from them. We have forums another tool to spread information on the site either in a question or shared gathered information so don't be afraid to participate, its a learning tool we can all learn something from. If we have knowledge of the subject matter please share so we can learn also, we all want to learn that's why where here. On the site is tons of information for us to fine tune our skills. When we do get to go out and fish we are learning maybe even using some of our new learned skills. Don't be afraid to share your fishing experiences with us we would love to hear about them. We have one of the best photo sections I know of anywhere put in by the members.  There are fish pictures not just bluegills but lots of different species with lots of the quality picture's.  Again it's there for us to use and get lost in all those quality photo's. No site would be complete without a video section and we have a great one with lots of video's to look at. There is so much to see on the site you can't help but to learn something about fishing and that's really why we are here to learn and have fun doing it. Then last of all we have a chat line which is very under utilized but there to use, you must be logged on to participate in any activity other than that it is read only. Enjoy our site and learn so we can become better fisherman and in turn enjoying our sport a little bit more. Have fun with the site and GOODFISHIN..
