John I have caught them through the ice on ice jigs tipped with waxies. Of coarse that was when I was fishing Lake Erie which has been a long while.

Dick-I 've caught them on Beaded Nymphs, Shad Raps , Rapalas, a Keitech easy Shiner and now Jig Spin . I am anxious to try out some Crawler harnesses on the ones in a nearby lake .

Allen, Carl, Dick -Ever catch them through the ice ? That I'd like to do!

Allen when you do post pics here please I'd like to see those Jigs!

I've been meaning to tie some egg-sucking leech flies and jigs.  Especially the jigs.  Just cast one out, under a float, in water with just a little bit of wave action, and let the waves work the jig :)
