Reverse Rigging for Senkos and Other Stick Worms

OK, guys... a number of members have asked about the reverse rigging for Senkos, Yum Dingers and similar style worms we used to fish on top of heavy algae and weed mats to get those explosive, blow-up strikes from quality bass during late summer. So, here are a few pics to show this simple adaption...just run the 'tapered' end of the worm in on the front of the off-set worm hook so it can glide over top of the slop easier than the blunt end.

Fish it on 20 to 30 lb Sonic Braid...work it like a scum-frog and inch it along on top of the There is still lots of hot weather bassing to do all over the map, so give it a shot at your local, weedy lake!

Comment by John Sheehan on July 7, 2012 at 8:00am: I just noticed a soccer ball sized group of 1" fish hovering over a nest with a male bass swimming underneath and staying with the group but not feeding on them .I assumed it was the bass fry as weeks before I saw a female and smaller male on the same nest .

Comment by John Sheehan on July 7, 2012 at 7:54am: When you see a male guarding fry and not hitting your bait cast behind the fish into deeper water as there may be a nice Female ready to strike from hunger after the exhaustion of carring and dropping eggs.This 20" Female was possibly the mate of the Male I mentioned.

Comment by 10.5" RES Sharon on June 10, 2012 at 6:23pm: Whenever I have been unsuccessful catching fish from my pond, I can go the "bass spot" and catch my pet bass. He never fails to be there, or gobble my hook. He gets a snack, I feel better having caught at least one fish.
