Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Howdy all

I know we just shore fish and I'm sure if folks had the gear and all the numbers would be better.

But the fish can still be caught all it takes is a little sweat.

The last few trips were fairly good this morning was slowbut Kathy held up the side and brought in 2 nice 9" BG's 1/2 and 3/4 lb respectfully, my morning was turtles and pecker fish.

The best of us can have good or bad days but we still go out and we still put fish in the cooler, so it's just fun to be with the wife and we have a grand time in a friendly way as too who's the best this trip.

As the game goes since we started here I still outweigh her in lb's caught.

1 3lb flathead, 10 1/2lb BG's and a 2 1/2 lbd LE.

 Her's BG's are the bigger ones Her 1 1/4lb BG, 1 3/4 lb and 4 1/2 lb with a cute little 1 1/2 lb Flathead.

Well the game goes on and the tactic's are fairly straightforward.

We're bobber or slipfloat and Nightcrawlers folks with a few catalpas thrown in when we find them, seems the fish love the catalpas creamy center but not so much the skin.

We shore fish early, mid (depending on temps), evenings and nights. we swap out shore lines between all the accessible one on Lake Norfork in the Mountain Home area so we don't strip out a spot.

We keep a limit to the size we keep min 7" everthing else goes back.

so if you have any questions or information on Arkansas Waters pleas feel free to post them here.

If you travel to Arkansas please give us a report on your fishing trip.

Between me and the wife we've fished alot of Arkansas's waters.

I grew up down in sout Arkansas in Magnolia and when I was able to drive and had older friends that drove we took trips out to the waters around Magnolis from Louisiana's Springhill, Lake Monroe to the south to Texarkana TX. and Lake Millwood to the west,

Lake Jack Lee and the Mississippi River to the east and now Norfork , Table Rock in Missouri and Bull shoals and allt the lakes in cherokee Village not to mention all the various rivers we've fished either together or byourselfs before we were married lo thes 26 years now.

I Served for 12 great years in the Navy and I had tons of saltwater time also.

Sharks to sailfish, dolphin to grouper snapper to moray eel.

I' love to fish and really don't care where.

the better we make this group the better we make the sight.

Here's to fishing in Arkansas
