Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I was able to get a pic today.

It's the smallest drift sock that Academy sells.  Either 18" or 20", I can't remember.  The yellow rope leading from clasp down to the drift sock is tied off on the bottom end of the sock.  I can grab that, and the sock will deflate as it pulls up.  Of course, with a sock this small, it only shortens the time to pull the sock in by a couple seconds.  On a huge drift sock, I can see why you really want one of these lines.

I've got it mounted on my anchor trolley, so I can run the sock up towards the bow or back to the stern, depending on which way I want my kayak pointed in the wind.

Nice outfit Allen looks like it would be fun to fish out of.

It is!  Of course, I haven't tangled with anything big out of it, yet.  I might have to actually start Bass Fishing out of it, since it seems like I can only catch small catfish with it :)

It's a sunfish catching machine, though.  I can get into really shallow areas, where bigger boats can't go.

Lovely!
