Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I keep finding these in my minnow trap.  They are about 1". Anyone know what they are, do they bite, do they sting, do bass eat them?

If anyone knows that, it's you, L! LOL

(Although I dont think even Cajuns would eat predatory water beetles!)

They live in a swamp, after all. Along with all the usual stuff, Nature offers them all sorts of other "comestibles." And when you're hungry enough, most anything looks good.

Jen, There are quite a few alligator gar in the water I was fishing!!!! It was only about 3.5' long but it set me up in my tube now I weaR LONG PANTS!!!! This fellow was caught not far from where I was fishing!!!!!!! Not worried about bugs now, Eh!!!!!!

Oh thats just ugly!!!!!!

I used to find these things in my swim pool and would scoop them out. They can even withstand harsh chlorine shock to a pool so figured they wouldn't be good to swim with.
