Do you love big bluegill?
Thank you Greg and all. After today I can tell you I don't know how much fun I have really missed over the years not using a flyrod. The #5wt done a little bending can't imagine catching a fish on a 1 or 2wt that would be awesome. Now that I'm weened and haven't pierced any body parts I feel like I will be getting much more serious but due to the wind I had some tangles that set me back. In fact I had quit a few tangles. All I had was rubber spiders and after I used them they started sinking as did everyone I tied on guess they were cheappies. Greg I will get to Cabala's and restock next time I get out that way.
That is a great haul for first outing!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now go get em with your own flies! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!
Jen I'm going to give it the old collage try oh I didn't go to collage.
fly fish'n is how I learned to fish... many years ago... the biggest mistake new fly fishers make is not letting the back cast finish before you start the line back forward... by now you should have that figured out.. the longer the line out the slower you have to go on the back cast.
Poppers on the water during the summer is wayyyyyyyy fun.. But, watch out ! Bass love 'em too.
Good Luck w/your new found fun !
