Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Took my first warm water trip and it was anything but warm today! The high peaked around 30 degrees and I headed out. Spent some time casting some vintage glass and really like the feel of it. Super windy and that made casting a challenge I ended up driving to another spot to get the wind at my back. Water was nearly zero visibility and as muddy as ever.

Man I hate when that happens.

First victory is to get out there Craig.....nice determination! Your efforts will be rewarded soon!

Thanks guys, I definitely didn't go with high expectations, though it was great to get out for a short period of time.

your lucky you have a little open water ,here in ne ohio we still have most lakes and ponds ice covered. melting around the edges ,i dont do the walk a board to get on good ice thing .i hate this time of year,to much ice yet not enough .its been a long winter but we did have some great ice fishing this year ,best year in about 3 or 4 ,supossed to warm up some next week ,im ready for open water.

Yeah I went out again today, a quite a bit less ice but I'm guessing the water is still too cold for them to move from the deeper holes, doesn't help our weather in on a roller coaster and will be the next week or so.
