Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I wanted to celebrate a great game, "ROLL TIDE ROLL"and cooler weather so I missed church this morning and went out with my fishing buddy after some spotted bass and crappie but the wind was so bad in the big watershed I decided to go up in the national forest and try there, but a bridge going into the forest was washed out and the road was blocked so one more change and we decided to go back to the city water works lake and try the three in one, bass, crappie, and bluegill bite. After about an hour and one small bass and one pretty nice 3/4 lb crappie I wanted to try the bluegill bite. I tied on a small 1/8 ounce shyster type inline spinner and caught several nice male gills. We trolled on around to the shallow end of the lake and started trolling this little spinner over the 6 to 8 feet of water in the shallows , and started catching really nice redear sunfish..We have just got home with 14 nice shellcracker, 3 small bass, 4 bluegill and 2 really nice crappie. I thought I really should have went to church after the wind the roadblock and the slow start, but what a great time and when supper is ready, I will give thanks to God for a rich harvest and a great time in his world.....

You got that right, my friend!
Amen - Im sure he wont mind you played hookie from church.

There is an old saying that I have always hoped was true. "The Lord does not deduct from your allotted hours those spent fishing."

SeaRay my friend you have made my day...so instead of being 59 years old I'm really only about 35 in true life time cause I have surely spent half my life fishing..LOLRITF
