Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

     Hey guy's,

Noel Sell and I are up on Lake Winniepesaukee in New Hampshire for a week. This is one of the most amazing fisheries I have ever seen. I have been coming up here since 1993 and I never get tired of it. Most years it is casting to prespawn and spawning LM and SM Bass.....I started to use ultra light tackle a few years ago and the big smallies love it! I recently began to unlock the panfish up here and this week  after having the warmest winter and Spring on record has really turned the bite on. We have caught some really nice crappie and some really solid bluegills and pumpkin seeds....I caught an absolute beast of a bluegill today. Not sure of the weight but this is a great fish for so far North. Caught on my G. Loomis TSR862-2 light action rod, Daiwa Exist 1003H native custom reel and a 2" Berkley Ripple Shad in color firetiger. Also been catching some great 2.75 to 3lb smallies on 2" Berkley Power grubs in firetiger and natural chartreuse........Here are a few pictures...Let me know what you think.
