Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Here in Maryland we have had an unusually warm fall and early winter. On Saturday we had temps well into the 60's. Sunday was almost 60. WhenI woke up this morning to come to work I was comfortable in a light jacket. As the morning progressed, it got colder. I ran out at lunchtime and bought my 2012 Fishing License with hopes of making a visit to the local spillway on Wednesday (my regular day off).

Shortly after arriving back at the office I thought I saw a flake or two of snow falling from above. Now @ 3:15 EST, it's snowing like crazy and has been for an hour and a half or so. Not laying on the roads, but the ground, the trees and roofs are all coated in white.

I sure hope that things improve by mid week!

Wow! Not snowing here in Taneytown near the PA border. S'posed to be 50 tomorrow and my carp buddy has been getting them just about every time out at Marburg, with a nice 22 pounder last week. Skim ice is on some smaller ponds, but bigger waters are open. Good Luck Wednesday!

Jim,

It's the crazy Maryland weather. We had a little over an inch accumulation in Deale when I left @ 5:00 PM. Snowed sreadily all of the way home to Centreville. We had about an inch on the ground there when I got home. It continued to snow until about 7:30. I talked to my mom who lives in Linthicum (near BWI airport) and she hadn't seen a flake. When I got up this morning it was almost all gone. Go figure.

I sure hope to get in a couple of hours tomorrow. I'd like to get a pull or two.

Here in Aiken, SC were having a balmy spell, too. In the 60's. Nowhere near the highest recorded temp for this day, though, which was 78 degrees.
