Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

That if you have only a few minutes to fish, your line can wrap itself around your pole and tie itself into about 3 knots?

That small bluegill seem to fight more than large ones?
Nah!

That bluegill seem to have a narrow range of water temperature in which they will bite?

No I catch bluegill through the ice and on poppers in July here in NJ.
Maybe Texas bluegill are more delicate. Like southern belles.
;)
Ice in July? Wow, its 101 degrees here in Louisiana

I'll agree to this one! : "That if you have only a few minutes to fish, your line can wrap itself around your pole and tie itself into about 3 knots?"

I can wrap my line around something in no time. It doesnt matter that Im in a hurry or not.

Any branch, weed, even shirt buttons, are fair game. Its even worse with the light lines advocated to catch bream with. A stiff breeze will tie that stuff in a tangle.

And I thought it was only me that those things happen to. I get to go so infrequently now, my fly fishing stoke is shot! What little I go now, seems like my first time fishing. Hopefully that will soon change.
That the one that got away would have wihtout a doubt been your trophy fish.
That if you have a policy not to use the pregnant female minnows as bait, that 95% of the minnows will morph into pregnant females?
