Do you love big bluegill?
I dont know if yall remember me. I am tim from new orleans, i am deaf.
I purchased a z03 reel. I truly love the reel. very satisfied but if yall remember.. the Cajun Line I had on it was chaffing,,,splitting. I came on here and mentioned it.
wanted to clear things up. its not the line..its the reel, the holes on the side of the reel,,,, they are rough edged on some reels and it cuts the line.
I put Trilene and stren...all of it..same thing.
Talked to the store i bought it from, they said they gonna replace it. yahoo!
Just wanted to clarify..the Cajun Line was not the issue. True..on my baitcaster..i get that sometimes at the Spillway... theres a lot of abrasives down there.
went out there today and struck out. Nobody caught anything..all the boats came in .. they said no fish. oh well.
Yall be sure and pray for the families of those children that were killled and all those whose lives were changed by it. Sad day.. Praise the Lord... I know we cant see reason in this, but He knows, and I trust Him.

Thanks for the update. VERY upright of you to follow up and pass it along.
Ive never heard anglers complain much about the Cajun line, although I dont personally use it much. I've never seen it in anything under 10 lb test, so I don't have much call for it. Regardless, it was good of you to give us the update.
As for Zebco reels, I have to admit that their newer spincasters don't offer me much confidence. The best one they EVER made, in my opinion, is the old metal 606. I will buy any one of those I can find in almost any condition.
And Im with you on the Connecticut tragedy. Thank you.
Unfortunately, the replacement i got, brand new, out the box, does the same exact thing. It chaffs the line, cuts into it.
I am in contact with Zebco about this. I just wanted to say, i sent them an email and the very next morning they had already responded, they are answering me immediately. Kudos to them. they are good folks. Also, I LOVE the reel, i hope we can get this straightened out.
Thanks!
