Do you love big bluegill?

If you use a fluorocarbon leader will you catch more fish than straight mono line?

CHUCK;;; I HEAR THE FLUROCARBON LINE IS A BIT MORE SENTIVE THAN MONO;; ABOUT ALL I CAN SAY ABOUT IT.  BRAID LINE; IS SUPPOSE TO BE THE MOST SENTIVE; LOWEST STRECH;; BUT MAN ;; IF YOU GET HUNG UP;; YOU CANT JUST BREAK THAT LINE !! YOU HAVE TO CUT IT !!

Carl you are correct on the sensitivity and low stretch ...but also if you are using 2,4 or 6# test braid, without considering the greater knot strength for braid it should break off just as easily as the other lines rated the same strength...

if you are using 40# braid you will pull the drain plug from the bottom of the lake LOL

What studies have shown recently is when viewed underwater thinness is key when it comes to stealth. if you believe stealth is key then Superlines, Nanofil, braid, and fused is less than 25% of mono or fluorocarbon line diameters. more than 4x times stronger.considering same line diameter.

IMO the thinnest line will catch the most fish.

When you examine fluorocarbon under water with an underwater camera or a dive mask, you might be surprised to see that it’s as visible and opaque as braid. But how do the fish perceive it? Does it matter?

I have experimented with flouro vs mono as a fly tippet.

I couldn't see any difference in the catch ratio.

SLIP STINKER;; WHEN I TRIED THE BRAID LINE;;  IT DIDNT BREAK  WHEN I GOT HUNG UP;; HAD TO CUT IT BUDDY !  I WAS USING ONLY A 8 POUND TEST BRAID !  AFTER USING IT ONE TIME ; ONE DAY; WAS SO FRUSTRADED WITH IT; TOOK IT OFF SOON AS I GOT HOME;; WILL NOT USE BRAID LINE AGAIN FOR FISHING;; BUT IT WORKS GREAT IN FLY TYING STUFF;; LOL

So.... are you saying 8# braid is significantly stronger than your 8# mono?...

SLIP STINKER;; NO DOUBT THAT BRAID IS STRONGER THAN MY MONO LINE;; ALSO;; YOU CAN USE BRAID LINE TO PULL A TRUCK OUT OF A DITCH !!
