Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Went to my friend's lake last Sunday the 16th on a whim, and came home with 11 nice gills with a total weight of a little over 9 pounds according to my Berkley scales.  Had to cast from the bank as the water level was too low for me to drag his jon boat for a launch.  I was throwing one of my hand-poured 1 inch black body chartreuse tail grubs and was getting hit on about every other cast.  Sure felt good on that ultralite after a long hot summer.  Nick

Nice account of the day. Sounds like fun - private ponds often have some of the best action.
I also love pond fishing. Sounds like some good weight on those gills.
Good testimony Nick! Getting back out there this weekend?
I'm definetly going out again this weekend.  This time, I've invited a friend to help me with the boat!  Good luck to all, Nick
Thats what friends are for :-)
