Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I've been on a search for a Nebraska Master Anlger gill/sunfish from public waters for two years.

I finally got it this morning, 20 minutes before the rain hit. The real surprise, caught at a lake that is inside the metro area of the largest population in Nebraska, a lake that gets some very heavy pressure.

10" Redear Sunfish

My first MA sunfish (have caught a MA green carp IE bass) ever, fist MA on the fly rod too. Caught on a panfish polecat

Now then, back to the hunt for my daughters first Master Angler!

Great fish! Way to go!
A great fish! I can help your daughter catch her MA if you want, but I'm still in the process of starting the new dental office.

Been working 13 hour days for 8 months now. Just 'bout worn out.
Great fish! Did you get a weight?
That is a big, beautiful Red Ear you got there ! Congrats :-)

Last time I was out, I got a couple of Red Ears too...... forgot my sunscreen ;-)

Continued success to you,
Fish
