what sonar do you run?

how deep were you hooking them with drop shot?

yep... you got a nice pattern going there

I run a Helix 5 SI GPS. It's really helped me on these waters.  I really couldn't figure much out without it. Once I began marking lots of fish in open waters, I started drop shot drifting. That and lots of prayer, lol.

i was looking at that model specifically... lowest price for introduction to side imaging... how do you like it so far?

I love it. Run it in contour mode when using side imaging. That eliminates the water column an donly shows what's going on out side the boat. If you wznt to see what's under the boat , flip to 2d sonar mode.

Once I find where they are, basically shut off the unit and start drifting/trolling the area.
