Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Monday, I took off and went to Allegan Dam, Allegan, MI. I was hoping to tangle with a Salmon. King Salmon are in, and a local told me they were expecting Coho Salmon any time. We think we saw a couple Steelhead chasing some Shad on top. I only caught a little Smallie, but it was fun to get put and explore a new area.

One of the facets I really love about fishing… exploring and expanding the territory! Sounds like a blast Allen

Went back a week later.  Got rained on, broke my $75 Steelhead rod, lost a lure, and decided to call it a bust at that location and go to Plan B, which was to head over to Holland, MI, and do a little sight-seeing.  Stopped at a township park in Hamilton, MI, where I had a brief connection with a Salmon.  Made it to Holland State Park, took a few pics, then decided to do some more exploring.  Wandered down to Saugatuck State Park, with the intention to go to the coastline on Lake Michigan, before realizing it was going to be a couple-mile hike in.  Decided to head back to Allegan and try something else.  Did that, but didn't catch anything.
