Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I JUST MADE THESE A I AM EXCITED TO FIELD TEST THEM. THEY ARE REAL EASY TO MAKE AND WOULD BE A GOOD'CHEAP; WINTER TIME, FISHING ORIENTED,  PROJECT FOR KIDS OR ANYBODY. I'LL PROBABLLY NEVER BUY STORE BOUGHT FLOATS AGAIN.

pretty darn neat.  You are right about stealing........... Not sure how you can protect the idea except the possibility of a patten. Anyway, make a bunch and market them right here, if it's allowed.

I had a float given to me last week and thought I would show you and give you some new ideas.
LOL, now that would make a great shark fishing float
Keith, I too make my own crappie jigs nd love to make bass and stripper top water lures. I have only sold one and regretted it. It seems that I am only cocerned with what I have made and if they will fool a fish. I'm not a rich man but these are for me and my friends I have given some away but have not sold but one..A friend of my wife couldn't wait to post two on Ebay but when they wouldn't sell I was relieved and now I think my Ebay days are over..enjoy your hobby and don't sweat the money thinggy..   <(((((((< swim dang it
Thanks Vic the joy is in the giving. The work is an escape. Watching it disappear is icing on the cake.
Keith, you are so right, when I catch a nice mess of crappie on the jigs I have made I am like an old alfa rooster with a pen full of egg laying hens...satisfied...LOL

The corncob float is about as old as dirt, as far as I know. Ive seen them in old angling books and on the internet, too.

Yours look pretty nice, they could double as wagglers after a fashion, too. Do not forget to waterproofing them well with some urethane or shellac, though. The cob will absorb water, unlike corks or styrofoam.

I dip them twice in polyuerthane. I tank tested one for a week It adsorbed some water but still floated. Describe a "waggler" to me.  Please tell me their purpose and how to rig and fish one.  I didn't invent the wheel. Anything that will float can be used as a float. I make some with used wine corks too.
