Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I would like you all to help me out with how you all like to fish for gills/sunfish. Whether it be the bait you use or electronics you use to find schools of them swimming around.

Thanks,

Check Bass Pro Shops or the Bass Assassin web site. It's a hard color to find.
Well I gotta bass pro shop 15 min up the road from me so I will put it on my list of items next time i go "grocery shoppin"

Thanks man!
i prefer light spinning tackle w/chart btle spin or mepps
and i still fancy the good ole live bait worm and bobber method when my wrists get tired of casting
Mike F,

Pink.......I caught lot of bluegills on 1/80 oz plain pink or orange jig with Gulp PINK maggot!

Other work very well for me on bluegill lure is black or pumpkinseed color ...1 inch twistertail on 1/80 or 1/64 oz jig!
When I'm hunting gills for fun, it's a 9 foot 2 weight fly rod with a level line, and a dozen different flies. I like small black gnats and spiders for dries, and the gill getter or a green spider with white legs for wets.
If I'm after gills for supper, it's crickets and a bobber. That's closer to murder in the summertime.
But there are so many ways to hunt them, you could carry a dozen rods on every trip.
That's too much like work. And 'gill hunting should be fun!
