20151117- ...------<")))))><(

rigging up some dying minnow rigs with 4" and 2" Berkley Power Minnows... preds... walleye and N.Pike took many with bite offs... more on the order. a good source ive found is FISH USA. my favorite color pattern is smelt

20151117- Fishing tiny presentations in the ZONE  tagged a couple N.Pike

…so fishing the cold water with a coldwater presentation I caught (2) N.Pike. the presentation was a 2” Power Minnow Bling ‘N Jig in my popular smelt color with light 4lb braid on a light action 5-6” Berkley Lightning Rod with a Shimano Spirex 100 series spinning reel. The presentation was cast along the rip rap, structure and deeper holes to tag the Esox Lucius into hitting the jig. Very lucky to have landed these two since the presentation was set deep in the pikes mouth… lost many of setups to these guys in the past. A few blistering runs especially the 28” er. Wow these guys still have it in the cold water.

I easily topped last years success with the fishing totals and (3) Master Anglers Certs on some nice fish all caught with tiny offerings fished in the ZONE

a nice 28" er

1117151658 - 28" Class Esox Lucius

smaller N.Pike... but still a good fight

1117151658 - Keeper Short Esox Lucius

i really like this little jig mod... caught lots of fish for quantities large and small plus a variety.

20151120-- sad day today...

Calling the open water season today... 7 inches of snow expected tomorrow, winterized the boat.

20151121- ...------<")))))><(

20151121- snowing in mid michigan!

20151122- ...------<")))))><(

20151122-  Got the boat all winterized... waited till the last minute because you never know in Michigan. we should have some safe ice by Jan 1st.

Making some finalizations on plans for some upgrades for the jon boat this year.

20151123- ...------<")))))><(

20151122-... going nuts not feeling the tug on the end of the line...

so....time being spent putting new ice braid on my four rigs pricing electric augers.

downloading maps and getting the sonars ready

I downloaded the lake maps for this county.  Might do some more.  I really want to get the map book that lists the boundaries of public land in SE MI.  It also lists boat launches, "carry-in" access, and other things.
