Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I didn't want yall to think I have fallen off the face of the Earth, I have just had to change gears for a little while. This period of time also gives the bluegill a rest , time for them to get fat and forget about all the offering  I threw at them this year so next spring everything I will throw at them will look new . Since the only ice fishing we do in the south in winter is digging  in the freezer  to get those fat fillets we put back this summer to have a good meal of bluegill  when the weather is cold and nasty outside , this just makes us want an early  Spring and gives the bluegill time to recover and get fatter.  During winter I make sure all my tackle is ship shape and ready to get to the water,   remember  The Rendezvous is in May this year , and there is no way except a death in the family  will cause me to miss it. The Rendezvous at Kentucky  Lake  is not to be missed, TOO MUCH FUN, good times , good food , good friends , old and new.

In the meantime I suffer at the Crappy Cabin, having too chase deer, set around the campfire, watch football games and cook and wait for Spring .   LOFRHurry up Spring !  Don't  know how much of this I can take.   LOFR

This is awesome how close are you to the nearest water

Slip, at the bottom of the hill there is one of the best ,unknown smallmouth rivers in the my State, and it's 110 miles long , and hardly any access so therefor minimum pressure on the fish .  LOFRSlip, The Crappy Cabin is on top of that Bluff in the background.    LOFR
