Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Hello everyone just wanted to get your opinions on the best slip bobber for bluegill. I consider myself an experienced fisherman and have never had good luck with slip bobbers. They always get tangled and end up not sliding up my line properly. Any information on which ones and how you set them up would be great.

Thanks and tight lines :)

id like to get together... im not really having any problem with any knots right now but thanks... i use slip bobbers all the time and tie my own slip knots rather than buy em. if you watch the video above and the comment below that i state i use 60 lb braid as the best material for going thru the guides 20-0 to 30-0 dacron as second choice. my knots go fluidly thru the guides and don't have any problem at all.

Everyone should have to spend a 23 degree afternoon casting a slip float rig excessive distances. After the first few casts, your guides ice up....than the stopper knot ices up... When you haul back and sling for the middle of the pond and there's a severe THUMP as the frozen knot slams into the guide rather than sliding through, and your line bounces back and entangles itself around your rod 13589 times, or worse yet your line snaps under the shock and your rig flies off....been there.

That's when I decide that rods with guides featuring 1/8" openings were not suited for slip float fishing. and definitely not during cold water periods.

been there Tony... i live in Michigan the new north pole. well at least the past two winters.

Tony-- i have always said-- you hard water fishing guys have it tuff!!  got a lot of respect for you guys doing it!!  23 degree weather tells me- theres a ball game on tv!!   LOL!!
