Yes they do Carl, And I will be fishing with your pieces of Art but these pic were made before I had you quills, I know you quills will catch more fish because they will be coming to admire your Artwork  . LOFR

hahahaha    guess i;ll bring my quill floats to!!   bet we put on a show when we use them!!!  nothing beats a good quill float!!

You got that right Carl  LOFR

Just one more from the same waters different day , this one was huge . I was so sad when on another trip to discover this body of  water was sucked dry by farmers using all the water to irrigate their soybean fields around this oxbow.  LOFR

nice looking water lofr- i could never get that close to a sunken tree without spooking everthing in the area up here.like the way you mount that electric too, used to do the same on my little jonboat

nice pics everyone.a robin would be a better name for them in my opinion.how far north is their range.i may have caught them in kentucky years ago but i called everything a bluegill that resembled a bluegill,

I live in Pennsylvania. So they are at least that far north anyhow.

Favorite most productive fly for taking RBS ;the Black Ant . 64th oz. Blue/white/black combo feather jig with 2# test /spinning rod ,is also extremely successful..

I hope to fill out my calendar catches this year .My archives show I've caught our beloved RBS from June through October

Another redbelly lover here... I catch many in the 6" range in the Holston River but not many bigger than that. I caught my personal best 9" redbelly about a month ago while fishing a 1/8 oz. black wooly worm joes flies spinner. Don't know why sunfish bite that thing cause its huge but they do. I also catch lots of them on a 1/24 oz homemade jighead and panfish assassins.
