Have you tried Marrowbone in Nashville???
thanx guys...will google these areas...will get back to ya...
KC, I live in the Boro and have a large private lake near the house owned by the neighborhood. Lots of good gills in there and I'd enjoy sharing some time with a fellow fisherman in it. Shoot me an e-mail at donald-jt@comcast.net so we can try to make some plans to take one of my canoes out there and catch some.
Hey guys...thanx for the replies and Jeremy u know I will be getting in contact witcha about that pond within the week. This is the first group that actually responded to one of my questions. I was beginning to question the validity of this site. Us Tennesseans has to stick togetha...lol...lets get this group going...
not right off in that area.would like to catch some of those monsters

Do any of you have any knowledge/tips for fishing Reelfoot Lake?

Sorry a late response. I used to fish Reel Foot every year for a few days in early spring and I now would love to spent several days there in the early summer with my flyrod. We used to fish it with Bee Moths which is maggot looking grub that is used for ice fishing in Indiana. We used U.L. outfists with a ice fishing jig and a small round plastic bobber about the size of a nickle. Cheap bobber is in order here because we usually lost several on every trip. We fished the jig about 18" below the bobber and we cast the rig right into the root area of the sypras trees. We caught a lot of big gills but sometimes they would get the rig wrapped around the roots before we could get them out of there. The locals used a real small tube jig on the end of a cane pole and just drop the jig down into the roots like we did with the U.L.'s. except we casted into the tree roots. That is why we lost a lot of bobbers. It was great fun though. I would also like to fish the pads for bass with a flyrod. There is also some huge catfish there is you are so inclined.
