Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I found a store locally that buys out sporting good warehouses and comes up with old stuff in new condition. He had some Cortland braided nylon fishing line. It had 5 Or 6 plastic line winders full in a pack. It look like maybe you sold them individually by breaking off the bottom one each time. When did they stop making that stuff? I've only seen it on old fishing gear from the 50's or 60's. I'm going to get some for a little retro- fishing. The first cane pole I remember using had this type line on it when my Dad got it out of his Uncle's barn. He cut it off and put on mono, said that line has been on there for ever. I check out this store for the oddball stuff like that.

Probably old Dacron.
Probably as good as the day it was packaged.

You are the man. Wish I had a store like that around here.
I'll send pics when I go back and pick it up. He the only one close the sells the #10 cricket hooks and BB sized split shot I like.
Sounds great. What a cool place to have at hand.

I'd like some of those #10's, myself. The locals don't sell much in the way of panfish stuff, unless it's for crappie.
Walmart only goes as low as #6 on anything.

Here I am in the Deep South, the traditional home of "brim and cornbread," and I have to go scrounging for appropriate tackle.

Go figure.
That place sounds awesome.
