Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Does anyone know where you can purchase a single piece  7-8 foot pole. BnM has single poles listed in it's catalog but you can not purchase directly.

What are you planning, Joe?

Well , the 10 foot split cane pole gives me 5 and 10 feet for bait fishing. Just want a 6 or 7 foot single cane to go old school fly.

Where's your tenkara rods?

Still have them. Just going to mix it up a bit this year

Going low tech April,May and June.  10 foot BnM cane pole . Figured I can dap flies and float fish

Micro Fishing July, August and September. Got myself a HT micro fly reel and HT Micro Master rod 4.5 feet. Should be good in the weed lines after the spawn.

A man with a plan - love it.
My plan is to not hook my ear again, this year.

Let me guess, fly fishing backcast

Yeah!

8 foot poles might be available but are more common in the 10' size.

Shipping is big on this long item -

Johnny

Thanks...

Got a BnM 10 foot jointed cane pole for the grand total of $3.99 . Should be a blast this spring.

Been fishing fixed line over the last two years, Some for your prior posts were very helpful.

Johnny Wilkins? You're still alive?
Good to see you, dude!

Doing well, trying to keep very busy. More to come on that. I think I am finally closing in on getting some good stuff available - and a new company sponsor. We have 24" of ice up here right now so cutting a hole for some ice fishing might be in order.

10' is my favorite pole for catching a load of gills, can't be beaten on most lakes. Where deeper water or weed lines are present, sometimes need a 12' or even 16' to reach the deeper waters... A little more work, a lot more pole - all sizes have their place. Also- remember when fishing INTO the wind, you will need that length to keep your float out checked into the wind.
