Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Took a few hours time and visited the South Edisto River. This is a spot I haven't been to in some time, and for no good reason.... it is closer to the house than my usual hang outs and I like it. Besides, one of my handmade floats is hanging over the water in a branch. When I get my kayak going, I gotta get it back!

The murky banks of the South Edisto River. That large, angular branch entering from the right is the one that ate my float.

Trash cans like the one to the right have become frequent stops for me.

A lone Muscovy mix duck hanging around the launch ramp. Locals on the scene say there were five or six, last season... but the gators probably got em! I took pity on the thing and gave him the little brim I caught.

Typical Edisto River gill. Note this one is ALL tail - the river never rests, and neither do its inhabitants. It also swallowed my hook!

Oh, and look in the lower right.... that white blotch is the "toilet work" left behind by some inconsiderate numbskull. How nice....

What you see as I'm leaving - Peace Out, people!

love the sticker

Thanks, Jim. I made 'em up last year and was selling them at cost, here on BBG. I only have two left, now. But I've been thinking about getting some more made, so if you want to buy a few, I'll make a new order.
