Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

A little fun after a day's fishing. Here's what you can do with a mud motor. You can get back into some areas you can't get into with big boats and big motors.

Yeah, Go Devils are good motors. I prefer the long tail instead of the beaver tail mud motors, because the universal joint adds complexity in a very simple system. Again the point is

Also the angle on the beaver tails is too steep, and it wants to plow the bow of the bow down into the water. The seven foot shaft of the give the correct angle.

I bought my motor kit from SPS North America, aka MudMotorKit.com. I wanted to select the power head myself because I wanted to hot rod it without worrying about voiding warranties and such.

Here's an assembly video I did for Mr. Dobbs who gave me some hot rod parts in exchange for the video:

Yeah, Gheenoes are perfect for this kind of motor. However, I'm a do-it-yourselfer. I'll more likely build another boat before buying one.

Did you ever look at gheenoe?

Slip, it's a 12 ft Alumacraft I bought during a Father's Day sale.

I want to build a boat, something better designed for my style of fishing and motor. With these motors it's best to have it sitting inboard a bit; therefore, the transom is tilted in the wrong direction.

I want to put it through another round of upgrade to get more power and efficiency out of the motor. So far I'm rejetted the carb, put a high-flow intake and exhaust on it, and it runs well.

The next round would include removing the governor, adding a billet flywheel, billet rod, flat top piston, and a high lift & duration cam shaft.
