Hi Bruce,
I have read about you and read your articles in Pond Boss Magazine. I just signed up for their forum for advice. Looks to me like you are the guru of large gills. I am looking forward to reading all the comments on your web page about gills. I hope to grow some big'uns in my pond that I am digging. Thanks for hosting this site. John
Thanks Bruce, keep up the good work and fight the good fight. Don't let the nay sayers get you down. My pic is from the spring regatta out at Louisville Generic Angler is to be credited with the pic.

Bruce, good to hear from you. I'm still alive. I have just been really swamped with life. I actually planned on trying to fish in the a.m. for once in a long while (I love this Stones tune). Don't count me out, I shall return. I miss talking with all you good folks. Thanks again, Lance.
Bruce, Do you know what happened to Doug R.? If you don't mind me asking.

Hey Bruce, thanks so much for your interest and concern about my friend, Hamp. I am in the dark, as his family doesn't know me at all. He called me two days ago, but I've heard nothing since, and have no way to contact him. About all I can do is watch the Obits. :-/
He is Carl Hampton Mercer, 75, a retired teacher. His last job was as a diesel engine mechanics instructor at a prison. He had been a small-time customer of mine at my sawmill for a couple of years. About a year ago, he came to me and asked me if I would please go fishing with him, as his family wouldn't let him go alone anymore. We have been tight buddies ever since, and have enjoyed many wonderful mornings and afternoons on the water together, and many days in the shop working on engines and such. I fervently wish for his recovery so that we might enjoy more of the same. If that is not to be, I have profited greatly from our friendship.
Bruce, I haven't met you yet, but I hope to soon. I met with TJ last weekend at my pond construction site near Springfield, NE. I'm Omaha on PondBoss and Josh Milczski on Facebook. TJ told me I should get this site even though I don't have much to contribute...yet. ;)
Does AnyOne Know Anything About Fishing North Al. On The Ten. River Or The Elk River Im Trying To Find The Big Ones NOW But Cant Seem To Get On Them Can Ya Help Me Out Please Sir. ?
Hey Bruce! Hows the weather north of the mason dixon? Bein Im in the heart of it its always nice here. Finally got the garden done and been spending a few days fishing. Im fishin like paw paw taught me. Im goin back to my roots. Glo poopin bugs 45ft ahead of a auto real kissin the tree tops fallin in the water and smack! hahaha. I have tried something new. Well its really old. I found an old lucky 13 and remebered storys of what he called jigger fishin. 12" line lucky 13 and a cane pole. MURDER! I asked a couple bass fisherman and I got frowned on real quick. I was told my boat would be watched from now on in fishin tourneys. I tried it. OMG!!!!!!! IT WORKS. It will work you to death but if you wanna catch a limit of bass in less than an hour. Hey its the ticket. Funny thing is I had a couple big gills goin after it. Ima try and make me some kinda a lure with a smaller set of trebbles. Who knows. I may have found away to swap out the sport of it with a lil labor for supper! hahah. If it works dont worry. I wont keep em all. Remember this site teaches ethics to!
