Sorry I missed you dink. To be truthful my computer was on the BBG site but I had my back to it I was trying to finish up these jelly fish jigs I started. The wife's birthday is tomorrow and I tie in the dining room but we'll need the table so I was trying to get them done so I can clean up my mess and use the table. Haven't been but once Dink looking like I might have to get rid of the bass boat only used it twice last year and only once this year. Holding out as long as I can. Hope you been getting out and doing OK.
Dink I can tell you its my favorite lake to fish in michigan. Look in my pictures and that Redear 12 inches I caught in Wilson lake which is the lake above bankers in the chain. I catch 12 to 14 in crappies often. There are quit a few sandy areas loaded with nice gills. Since Linda had her stroke 3 years ago I haven't been. The fellow I rented the cottage from I talked with him the other evening and he said he would rent me the dock which needs lot of work. I got a small raft 18' so Linda could get back on the water, she can no longer get in the boat. So I'm trying to work a deal out. So if you would keep your fingers crossed. If your ever up this way I'll have you a seat in the boat if you want. Take care and keep in touch.

I had to use last years picture. I took the picture after an ice storm. The pond was froze over but has sense thawed and remains thawed. Need some cold whether instead of this 40 and 50% whether. Maybe in January. Enjoy the holidays and keep in touch.

I have a Perception Search 13.5 SOT. I love it I also have a Carolina Skiff 218 XLV but the yak gets more use , a lot less hassle at the boat ramp.

Thanks for dropping a line. I want to go and I'm always ready but it hasn't happened. I put the boat up last week. I guess there is always ice fishing. It's hard to find someone to set with the wife, there is only a couple people that she trust. I was thinking that when I retired fishing would be an everyday thing but we never know what life has in store for us. Dink enjoy life while you can and I hope it will clear sailing for you. Enjoy and GOOD FISHIN.. Keep in touch.
Thanks for the welcome, Dink. you have a nice boat and it looks well rigged for fishing. I had a Hobie Oasis mirage drive for a while. I liked the mirage drive but it was just too heavy. I'd love a Native Watercraft, the light 29# boat but don't have an extra 2 grand plus. I like the canoe It's light with plenty of room for gear, and at $400 from Dicks the price was right
I finally got out to fish it felt great and we know it don't take much to make me happy in the fishing department. My sweet sister in law said she would set with the wife if I wanted to go. I guess we knew what that answer would be. I didn't catch lots of fish but I caught some quality fish. That don't mean I didn't catch any small ones cause I did. I threw them back. I did get about 6 P seeds probably between 6 and 7 inches that I wish I had kept and put in my pond, to me they are the most beautiful fresh water fish going. I used 1 ½ inch white pearl twister tail with a red 1/16 oz head. I caught total of 6 crappies,4 large mouth bass, 6 punkin seeds, 3 bluegills, 1 rock bass and 8 small perch. Had a blast. Have a good day and GOOD FISHIN..
Absolutely Dink, its time to go crabbing when they attack my crickets while I'm fishing for Gills in the same river. August through October is the peak for Jumbo Blue Crabs in North Carolina's brackish waters. Thanks for the comment.
Dink, I love my Black Widow. I've only had one chance to use it, but I caught 69 bluegill and redears. One guy said he was gonna get one, too. Thanks for the referral.
