Do you love big bluegill?
I need some help on fishing for Bluegills here in Minnesota. I used to fish alot as a kid but never really paid attention to what we were doing (dad always knew where to go and what to use). I'm mainly looking for help on depths the where they might be during the season. Right now where would they be found. How much would change in June, July and fall. I have kids who want to catch fish but usually end up seeing a frustrated dad instead, I'm afraid they will lose interest. I grew up always using wax worms, is this still the go to here in Minnesota?

Try to fish close to weedy spots and weedy shorelines early mornings and evenings, wax worms still work fine but a little chuck of night crawler also works great. Think of it this way fish eat other fish so all fish need some sort of protection and weeds, wood and shallow water provide that protection. Good Luck!
