Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Which is better for pond,
Bottom Aeration or water pump and fountain type?
I have 2 ponds both about 1 acre.

I have looked at windmill but fear, I don’t have enough wind and too many trees.

Considering using solar panels to power pump or compressor.

Peoples thoughts are appreciated.

I'm no expert but I have a bottom aerator. It runs twice daily for 3 hours each time once in the morning and another in the evening. This year coming I'll be adding another aerator to the pump. My pond is 3/4 acre L shape so I think another aerator would benefit me. I don't run it in the winter just in case I do want to Ice fish. Never had a fish kill but my water depth is 16'. The aerator helps in the water circulation  which is a big plus and oxygenates the pond from top to bottom which really helps the fish especially on them dog days of summer. Hope this helps........
