Bassmaster Classic
I just finished watching the Bassmaster Classic for the fifth time. I thought the new TV graphics and lures being displayed were cool and informative. I felt some serious pain for Jeff Kriet though! Man it had to hurt being beat again by Kevin VanDam. It seems like KVD is in the head of every pro angler on the circuit and I can’t blame them. The man is an impressive power fisherman covering an incredible amount of water each day by cranking.
I think the most important lesson I learned after watching the Bassmaster Classic marathon on ESPN classic was that even the world’s best fishermen strikeout at times. Skeet Reese and Boyd Ducket, two former Champions, weren’t able to bag over 5 lbs. It just goes to show that not every fishing trip is going be about catching fish, but can always be successful as long as you learned something new and was blessed to have day on the water.
