Sage rods are fine rods, out of my price range . Find you a good fly shop, Talk to them tell them what you are looking for. Went into bass pro shop looking for a ST. Croix, when I left had a Temole Forks Rod, he saved me money it was garonteed And I liked it better. Try them all before you buy.
I now have four Temple Forks Rods.

Hey Elroy, thanks for the question. Unfortunately, I haven't fly fished for years and am not qualified to answer your questions concerning the Sage rods. Might want to check in with some of the guys on the fly rodders group and get their input...they would know!
