Who uses a floating jig in anyway to take gills?

What type of animal is a bluegill?
No not on my property but our neighborhood has a pond with bass and gills. Lots of other public ponds near by, great for taking kids to.
What state are you from? This can help us get together for fishing trips!
michigan, East side of Grand Rapids. Fish local water within ten to 15 minutes away.
