What type of animal is a bluegill?
ABOUT ONE ACRE WHERE THE PASTURE MEETS THE WOODS. NO TREES EXCEPT ON THE DAM (BIG MISTAKE). CONTAINS BASS & BLUEGILL AS WELL AS A BUNCH OF REDEARS. MY WIFE FEEDS THEM EVERY EVENING AND THEY HAVE GROWN HUGE. WHEN SHE STARTED FEEDING THEM THE LARGEST WAS ABOUT ONE HALF LBS. NOW I REGULARLY CATCH TWO POUNDERS. I WEIGHED ONE LAST YEAR THAT WENT 2LBS. AND 8 OZS. THERE ARE ALSO SOME NICE BASS. WE CATCH A LOT OF THREE TO FIVE POUNDERS. IT IS OPEN TO MY FAMILY ONLY AND WE PRACTICE SELECTIVE HARVEST. THE COWS FERTILIZE IT AND IT IS A NICE GREEN COLOR WITHOUT MOSS OR WEEDS. WHEN I TAKE OUT THE COWS IT CLEARS UP AND DOESN'T SEEM TO SUPPORT AS MANY BUGS AND BAIT. IT IS ALSO TOUGHER FISHING. MOST OF OUR PHOTOS WERE DESTROYED IN 2007 BUT I POSTED SOME OLDER ONES MY DAUGHTER TOOK AND TWO FROM THIS PAST FALL.
