Cysts in the bluegill flesh-usually ivory colored and can be easily flicked out with the point of my knife. Any concern about eating fih with these in them?

Just about every bluegill I catch and keep now has these ivory colored cysts in them. Are they anything to be concerned about? Thank you!

I strictly use a flyrod for catching my bluegills and my favorite fly now is a catskill spider#12. You truly cannot cast it out on a 5 pound tippett without getting a fish on or a strike-it is that effective. Anyone else have a favorite fly?

I love to take home about 3 bluegills-they have to be at least 7 inches. Have got a beautiful way to fillet them if anyone is interested.  You are left with a wonderful fillet boneless and skinless. Melt some butter, yes butter-nothing else-sweet butter not unsalted, did fillet in flour, then an egg that was beated up, then panko bread crumbs-place gut side down, fry until golden brown-do not burn tht butter, turn only once and then get ready for an absolutely delicious taste treat. Sliced almonds put in after turning and browned and salted are a nice addition. Lemon not needed if bluegill are only a day or so old. Have got another recipe which is french frying the bluegills which I will go into later. Anyone else have their favorite recipe?

Alos thes small cysts which appear in the flesh at times. I can usually flick them out with a point of my knife. What are they and are they at all harmful?
