- What type of animal is a bluegill?
- Yes, Old gravel pit has alot of weeds almost to many at times. I have stocked it with perch and bluegills since I was a kid.

Curious what you mean by a gravel pit?
We have "pits" locally that are old mining sites that have filled up - great fishing, but very little to no weed growth.
