What type of animal is a bluegill?
I have 8 ponds on 12 acres. Two of them are designed to grow bluegill to catch for fun. One of those pods was designed for swimming and I also use it for large quantities of easy to catch bluegill. The second is for trophy fish, bass and bluegill. Two others are designed to grow bluegill fingerlings for profit. One other happens to have bluegill in it, thanks to the migratory efforts of young ones during rainy spring seasons.

Bluegill are a "Big" Deal

When you speak of not keeping your larger fish, what size pond or lake do you mean? I have a seven acre pond that I keep a close eye on and regularly harvest large gills from.

Welcome, Bob! It's really great to have the actual "Pond Boss" himself as a member. I've learned virtually everything I know about pond bluegill management from Pond Boss. I appreciate everything you do.
