Do you love big bluegill?
Here I've played around with the underbody and given the flared tail of the original design. A simple tie, it looks almost sophisticated.
Underbody: peacock herl
Thread: black
Body, top: black 3mm foam
Body, bottom: lime green 3mm foam
Legs: chartreuse rubber
This comes from Harrison Steeves' book, "Tying flies with Foam, Fur and Feather."
This could take the place of Don Schmotzers little 'Froggy Thing' pattern.
Don't tell him I said that.
