Wind Tides Impact the Albemarle of North Carolina….4/27/2022
Can you tell when the cold front went through? In late Spring into the Summer this is detrimental to good fishing, I actually plan throughout the year to fish a falling wind tide….but on this graph you see we dropped almost a foot in less than six hours, and then abruptly gained 1.5 feet….this quick washing machine effect negatively effects fish that want to be shallow for spawning….you can see we have just had small swings today which I will monitor closely for weekend planning….the front was circled in red…..

Anything that looks like a shark tooth will be good on the first fall but will fall off quickly when the water quits moving….
