Do you love big bluegill?
Here is the U-Popper, in the flesh. It caught another decent pond bass today, which practically blew it up on the strike...
Ka-pow!! Big splash where the popper once was and line heading straight out to the middle. Didn't have to set the hook....
The brim, by comparison, only wanted to pick at the legs. They'd push the U-Pop around, buffet it with mock attacks and swirling rushes, but none wanted to commit.
By my count, the Unstoppable Popper now has 9 or 10 fish to its credit; let's go conservative and say 9.
Nothing has yet fallen off, so the experiment continues.

I always tip my poppers with a couple waxworms......adds casting weight, and entices the shy biters.

Have you tipped it with a crappie nibble or anything. I have been using cooked shrimp, which I have cut into peices, to tip my jigs. I works well. Give it a try, it should not take away from your topwater ability..

Every interesting approach.
the popper is a all time favorite in the summer!
