The crappie today have moved off of spawning locations in the shallow and on to area flats of five feet of water....Just fanned casted tipped jigs set at two feet beneath the float and kept them moving until the strike came.......often the bite was on the fall after popping the jig......still a good time but I don't often target crappie in May through August.......Mother Nature rules and once again is forcing a late arrival of the area bluegill.......
