Definitely would be worthy of a Field and Stream follow-up article.

My kayak! Jigging deep with big leech! Dream Team like Bruce Condello, Jim Gronaw, Bill Musky Modica, several other BigBluegill members and myself to fish there for a whole weekend! WOW!

Float tube! Perfect. Can you imagine the weekend we'd all have?

These are actually a stretch to call lakes....18-20 acres.....the smaller lake is 450yrds long and 150 yrds wide...it has float tube written all over it!

Jim Gronaw .... I always want to know about this lake and I would love to fish there even none big fish out there but fish that part of history! I heard that smaller lake is diffcult to get there and step deep shoreline and even Fishery biologist cant get there so they got some fish from bigger lake! steep deepwater, lot of bass and lack of spawn for bluegills to grow big! I bet that little or no fishing pressure in 1940's until some fishermen found this gold mine in 1950's and now maybe just average size bluegills but who knows .....few big one still hide somewhere in this lake ....never know!

WOW! I heard many times about this wonderful fish and now I see it picture! Thanks! Look good for 60 years old mounted! I readed Outdoor Life magazine in 1979 said that 4 lbs 10 oz and this world record came from a smaller of two lakes!

To bluegill fanatics like us, this is sacred ground, er, water! It is truely amazing to me that these even exist after 60 years ago of the famous catches. Looks like one lake is deeper than the other and they are developed on one side and somewhat wooded on the other side. They are quite small...anyone know the acerage?

I Google Earthed the lakes. Which one held which fish? Did both come from the same one?
