Beautiful Lake in Central South Carolina between Florence and Columbia....I caught some nice Gills and Crappie here when I lived down in Summerville...

Walleye in SC - now that is something I dont think of everyday.
I always picture them as a fish solely of the north.
With water depths up to 75 feet, Lake Wateree holds good populations of Walleye but I always went for Bluegill, Crappie and Catfish....
Your secret is safe with me Steve! Nobody will ever know. I need to get back down there. I always struggle to pull away from my home waters. You can only be in one place on the full moon in June right....
It is a great lake Jeffery. Don't tell anybody about Stumpy Pond!!! There is some great fishing on Wateree in that area.

That is a beautiful pic, Jeff. Ive never been to Wateree - in fact, I've not visited many lakes in the state aside from Murray and Clarks Hill (Strom Thurmond).
One of the oldest man-made lakes in South Carolina, Lake Wateree was formed in 1919 when Wateree River was dammed.....
