Do you love big bluegill?
An incredible fast paced two hours late today using minnow tipped jigs on points and structures during a very high water period...... 20 fish over 13" today made it my best Fall trip in many years from a quality perspective.........

October is right around the corner and a great month for tidal crappie......looking for some slabs like these caught the first week of October 2014
Thanks Joe.....I caught several from your spot on the boat too.....lol
Thanks all......we warmed up into the middle 80s in coastal North Carolina yesterday so short sleeves were in order for sure.....first frost here normally comes after Halloween but some years it's earlier.......water temps on the surface were back up to 74 yesterday but again the wind tide played a key role in last night's success......I fished a couple points early without a bite, half hour later with a wind shift and resulting water movement the bite was on and the larger fish are at the "table"........I used a 10 foot telescopic pole with eyes and a reel yesterday and this allowed for much enjoyment to play a few of the larger fish and not put the tip of the pole in jeapordy....I started with 36 minnows and had 5 left as I was catching fish on dead minnows too.........
